Iran is undergoing preparations to respond to Israel as per Ali Larijani, a senior adviser to Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, as per a new report of an interview published by a news agency named Tasnim.

Their response aims to instill deterrence, he said without sharing further details.

They have decided to promptly respond to Israel’s strikes on Iran’s military sites on 26th October 2024, after the launch of some 200 odd ballistic missiles on Israel on 1st October 2024, which had sent out most of the population to the bomb shelters and safe houses. There had been relatively minor damages to the military bases and some residential areas, besides the death of a Palestinian man in the West Bank in the assault.

Its attack came only in retaliation for the killing of Tehran-backed terror outfit leaders and an Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps commander, he said

During the interview, Larijani also dismissed Israeli claims of having significantly depleted the arms supplies of Hezbollah during the alleged operations against the Iran-backed terror group in the jurisdiction of Lebanon, also asking, “So where are the weapons coming from? Mars?”

The said interview was taken on Wednesday, which was followed by Larijani’s visit to Syria & Lebanon.

Here it is important to understand that the Iranian authorities appear to very well know and understand that any such steps would not be practical or possible after Donald Trump takes over as President of the US on the 21st of January 2024.
